In 1920, our company has started with manufacturing of Micrometers and Laboratory glassware. Then Constant temperature and humidity chambers (1937) and Heated air dry chambers (1940) had manufactured. In 1948, the Suga brothers―Nagaichi and Shigeru Suga established Toyo Micron Company LLC. Next year, they established Toyo Rika Kogyo instruments Co., Ltd. In 1974, the company name was changed to Suga Test instruments Co., Ltd.
Upon launching a business, my mother sold all her 65 estates in Fukagawa and offered them as business funds. She said, "Business costs much money, so the more the better. I'm afraid you don't know the severity of the business since you've been working as an office worker for a long time. Keep in mind that there is no chance anymore and do your best.” Every time I faced difficulties, I remembered what my mother told me.
