The Global Standard Test is world wide authorized tests which are specified in ISO(International Organization for Standardization), ASTM(American Society for Testing and Materials), JIS(Japanese Industrial Standards) and other standards. The spectral power distribution of light sources and the performance of the instrument are specified in these standards. SUGA offers the weathering test instruments applicable to these global standard tests.
Large capacity model
GX90 is able to test 126 specimens at one time. The newly developed 9.0kW long arc xenon lamp is World's No.1 long-life light source, Lamp life: 3000 hours. In case of test condition 60W/m2 (300-400nm), Daylight Filter, BPT63°C, 50%rh.

Lightfastness test by LED light
Accelerated lightfastness tests can be performed using two types of white LED light sources with different color temperatures. It also supports test using white fluorescent lamp.
A compact model with excellent cost performance
This model is used for wide range of materials, such as fabrics, wrappings, and cases for cosmetics.
This is the world wide model
GX75 is a global general-purpose model compatible with international standard. It is a compact model with high performance with its 7.5kW Water-Cooled Xenon long life Arc lamp and filters with the Irradiance and Temperature Direct Specimen-Plane Control System.
The paramount of world standard
This model is capable of super-accelerated tests with ultraviolet irradiance three times stronger (180W/m2) than that of sunlight, meeting the expectation of today's high-speed product development.
Two test chambers are set side by side. Different test conditions can be performed at the same time. Possible to combine with other type of light sources.
The standard model for textile colour fastness tests
This cost-efficient model uses wicks to control humidity at below 50%rh level, and controls temperature by introducing ambient air via opening and closing of the air damper.
The answer to the demand for super-acceleration
This is the world's first super-accelerated weather meter model with a vertical metal halide lamp as its light source. Its design where specimens rotate around a vertically placed lamp allows for more specimens to be placed than models where specimens must be fixed in a single location. This allows for improved distribution of irradiance, temperature and humidity.
Performs tests other light sources just can't do
Suga UV Long-Life Auto Fade Meter is extensively used for colour fastness test of textile materials. An enclosed carbon arc lamp as the light source has the longest history of use among weathering test apparatus. It has an intense energy in the UV range (around 388 nm) and can be lighted continuously for 48 hours. U48AU has an automatic air control system with an air control value to mix circulating chamber-air and introduced ambient-air. It also includes a vaporizer, which allows for a highly precise control of temperature and humidity.
Most effective for ultraviolet deteriorating tests for coatings and olastics
This model provides high acceleration with cyclic test of UV light and dark (dew) cycles. Its light source FS-40 includes a light enagy loss preevention system developed by Suga.
The basic sunshine model cultivated by history
S80 is capable of approximately 78 hours of continuous irradiation using a total of eight sunshine carbon arc rods, with four sets on both the top and the bottom of the thest chamber. It is also capable of automatically running the light and light + spray cycles.
Two independent chambers enable combination of different light sources.
A tabletop Xenon Fade Meter
This is a tabletop weather meter optimal for small specimens such as medical products, paper, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, and stationery.
Depending on the use and purpose of products and materials, other types of light sources such as fluorescent and mercury lamps are being used in various fields.
Lightfastness test by LED light
Accelerated lightfastness tests can be performed using two types of white LED light sources with different color temperatures. It also supports test using white fluorescent lamp.
Specifically designed for ultraviolet deterioration tests of laminated glass
This is an ultraviolet fade meter with a light source of 750W mercury vapour lamp. It performs deterioration tests for laminated glass used for window of automobiles, railway, buildings and ships.
Determining the fastness wavelength of a specimen via spectral radiation
Divides the xenon light (similar to sunlight) into high resolution spectrums, and radiates strong ultraviolet and visible light. It is used for determining the fastness wavelength of plastics, textiles, medical products and fluids.
Irradiance monitor / Pure water units /outdoor exposure device
Supports and assures the accuracy of the weather meter. Outdoor exposure test is the foundation of the data for weathering test. Everything for weathering test starts here.
Accurately measures the surface irradiance of specimens in the weather meter
Quick-measure image clarity for both transmission and reflection.
ICM-2 measures the clarity of an image reflected on the surface of an object, as well as the image sharpness of an object that can be seen through transparent film, plastic, etc. Measurement time has been significantly reduced to approx. 5 seconds. Supports both transmission and reflection measurements.
The thermometer measures black standard temperature in the weather meters. Use a USB cable to connect to a PC, and charge. Stored data can be output to a PC.
Conforms to ISO, IEC, SAE, ASTM, AATCC, and JIS standards etc.
As the speed of developing new products increases, the need for shortening the test period increases as well. By taking a variety of approaches to meet these needs, SUGA offers new Super Accelerated Weather Meters. SUGA is also proceeding with research for correlation with outdoor exposure test.
A new axis of weathering using a Hydrogen Peroxide Solution Spray Feeding Device
Weather-resistance of paint can be evaluated with acceleration factor of aprroximately 100 times or higher compared to outdoor exposure. Pure water and hydrogen peroxide solution will be mixed in the supply tank automatically to offer the same density safely and constantly.
